The Dialysis Board kicked off a capital campaign in May of 2006 to raise funds needed to operate a 6,500 square foot dialysis clinic. Since that time, they have been awarded Local Option Sales Tax monies for $50,000, and have been actively raising the additional funds needed for the actual renovation costs of the building.
Fresenius Medical Care operates 2,000 dialysis centers around the world. Fresenius Medical Care has been supportive, offering their expertise in design and operation. They are a vertically integrated company, which offers products and services for the entire dialysis value chain. Although Le Mars Area Dialysis Services will own and govern the clinic, they intend to contract with Fresenius for the daily operation of the clinic.
